Dentist Tracker ("we", "our", or "the app") is a dental practice management application designed for dental professionals. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information when you use our app:
Account Information
- Email address (required for authentication)
- Full name
- Phone number (optional)
- Password (encrypted, never stored in plain text)
Clinical Data You Enter
- Patient records (name, age, gender, phone, medical conditions)
- Treatment records (procedure type, teeth involved, costs)
- Appointment schedules and status
- Medication and prescription records
- Uploaded files such as X-rays, documents, and clinical images
- Payment and financial records
App Usage Data
- App version and device type (for compatibility and update notifications)
- Language preference (English or Arabic)
- Theme preference (light, dark, or system)
2. How We Use Your Information
Your information is used solely to provide the app's functionality:
- Authenticating your account and managing your session
- Storing and displaying your clinical data
- Syncing your data across sessions via secure cloud backup
- Checking app version compatibility for updates
We do not sell, share, rent, or trade your personal data or patient data with any third parties.
3. Data Storage & Security
- All data is stored on Supabase, a secure cloud platform built on PostgreSQL.
- All data transmitted between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS.
- Database access is protected by Row Level Security (RLS) — each user can only access their own data.
- Passwords are hashed and never stored in readable form.
- Uploaded files are stored in a secure, access-controlled storage bucket.
4. Data Sharing
We do not share your data with third parties. The only external services used are:
- Supabase — for database hosting, authentication, and file storage
- Resend — for sending transactional emails (account verification, password reset)
These services process data only as necessary to provide their functionality and are bound by their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time through the app's Settings menu. Upon deletion:
- A deletion request is submitted and your account is immediately blocked.
- All data — including patient records, treatments, appointments, files, and financial records — is permanently deleted within 30 days.
- You may cancel the deletion request within the 30-day grace period by logging in.
6. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — all your data is visible within the app.
- Correct your data — you can edit patient records, treatments, and profile information at any time.
- Delete your data — you can request full account and data deletion from Settings or by contacting us.
7. Children's Privacy
Dentist Tracker is designed for use by dental professionals and is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
